MADISON, WI -- With their first mainstage production since the start of the COIVD pandemic, StageQ filled the house for both performances of "Act a Lady" during opening weekend. Seven performances remain in the coming two weekends, one of which is also sold out! And audiences have been raving!

"It is so good to have the Evjue Stage filled with laughter again." remarked Zak Stowe, the show's producer. "Last year was tough, COVID shut down each show we attempted in one way or another, but we are finally back with a hilarious and heartwarming show filled with funny accents, wigs, dresses, and even a few interesting twists and turns. Audiences seem to really be responding to it."

Remaining performances are:

Thursday, Nov 10th - 7:30pm

Friday, Nov 11th - 7:30pm

Saturday, Nov 12th - 7:30pm

Sunday, Nov 13th - 4pm -- SOLD OUT

Thursday, Nov 17th - 7:30pm

Saturday, Nov 19th - 4pm

About "Act a Lady"

When the men of a small, Prohibition-era town in the Upper Midwest decide to put on a play dressed in “fancy-type, women-type clothes,” the whole community is aghast: gender lines blur, eyebrows raise, identities explode, and life is forever changed. A thoughtful and hilarious Midwestern fable about the woman in every man and the man in every woman.
