Our upcoming season is one of quiet ripples and ancient stories. Of roaring waters and divine betrayal. Of trolling for the best red snapper and one last supper with friends. Our season is one of Common Humanity, and the stories we all share as we struggle against this tide called life.

The season starts with a quiet ripple that cascades into a roar. This Lammy Award winning drama explores the intimate divide that exists between two women in a deeply committed relationship. On a quiet summer evening, somewhere down in the Alabama Delta, Kendra and Betty troll the flats looking for red fish. After Betty begins diagnosing Kendra’s dead-end life with career picks from What Color is Your Parachute, their routine fishing excursion takes a violent turn.

StageQ is proud to present November 7th-22nd - “The Gulf” by Audrey Cefaly.

Our next show is an old and familiar story. It is perhaps a little queerer than the Catholic Church intended, but what are they going to do, protest us again? In honor of our 25th season, StageQ wanted to pull a favorite from the vaults. A truly infamous moment from StageQ’s past, “Corpus Christi” returns after 22 years! Come see a queering of the one of the oldest (new) testaments to cruelty, divinity, and humanity. Did we mention it ends on Easter?

StageQ is proud to present March 20th-April 4th - “Corpus Christi” by Terrence McNallly.

It’s Year 5 of the CapitalQ Theatre Festival! Come celebrate Pride Month with us and fabulous new shows written by LGBTQ+ playwrights from all over the country. Let us be in community with those voices who continue to write our stories. We are not invisible!
