MISSION & HISTORY
StageQ was founded in 2001 by Thomas McClurg in order to provide a stable home for gay and lesbian-themed plays within the broader Madison theater community. StageQ is a proud resident of the only community theatre collective in the United States: the Bartell Theatre. StageQ aims to celebrate and and advance queer representation through theatre written by and about LGBTQ+ persons.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS & STAFF
StageQ is currently run by a group of dedicated volunteers who meet monthly both as a board and as various committees. We are also fortunate to have a wide network of volunteers and staff who help StageQ's various committees and fill various roles within the company. All of these individuals are critical to StageQ's existence has it has been since the beginning.
StageQ has been producing queer theatre in Madison since 2001. As such we have had a long history of some pretty amazing shows. Here is the StageQ Show Vault.
